Being a part of the creative process and turning your ideas into reality is what I live for. As a musician and an engineer, the role of producer comes naturally to me. My understanding of playing music informs the engineering process, and vice versa, enhancing the final outcome. With Shut Up & Play, you get more than just a recording.
Engineering
Recording, editing, mixing, and live audio
Constantly searching for knowledge while recording and mixing my own bands' songs for years, and working with several mix engineers - including Steve Marcantonio and Jonathan Crone - has developed my ears and skill. Additionally, critically listening to many different types of mixes grew my understanding of what makes a great, timeless recording and mix.
I've worked regularly in a variety of live venues around Franklin and Nashville and am educated in mixing live audio.
Guitar
Sessions & Live Shows
I have been a passionate guitarist since the age of 10. recording guitar for years in my bedroom taught me about great guitar tones and parts, which has translated well to recording sessions. Playing in multiple bands since I was a teenager has taught me about the unique space guitar fills and how to best complement and play with other musicians for the best end result.
